Program description

MAP is a program sponsored by Hewlett-Packard. The program offers a number of deliverables and benefits for local development agencies involved in micro-business training and development. MEA-I is passing on to the agency the benfit of the sponsorship and offers MAP at discounted cost for qualified organisations.

Why micro-enterprises?
The smallest of small businesses represent a powerful economic engine. By learning how to apply information and communications technology (ICT) effectively, these businesses can overcome typical hurdles to growth, such as low productivity, a lack of competitiveness and the limited skill level of owners and workers.

MAP in a nutshell
The MAP solution includes a fully operational, ready-to-go MAP training centre, HP equipment, 19-module curriculum, professional training of trainers (TOT) and support.
By collaborating with high level country organization supervising training and business development services (BDS) providers specialized on microentreprises, MEA-I and its partners helps microenterprises learn how to apply the power of information and communications technology to grow and sustain their businesses through MAP.

MAP Network
It is the set of partners having a cooperation contract with MEA-I on the development of the MAP program.

MAP Education Centers
They are based on training rooms within each BDS dedicated to the MAP curriculum. The MAP centers are fully equipped with HP technology.

MAP Curriculum
It is a modular training program aimed to give business and ICT skills to the microentrepreneurs all over the world.
