Mission
The Institute’s mission is to leverage on a strong international network and expertise
to enhance job growth and local community empowerment throughout the EMEA and Asia-Pacific
regions by gathering sponsorships from businesses, the EU and governments.
As a non-profit organization, the Institute is dedicated to developing sponsored
programs in order to pass the reduced cost on to local users.
MEA-I programs are focused on helping the development of micro-enterprises.
Micro-enterprises are the biggest source of new jobs globally and therefore constitute
one of the best ways to positively impact the lives of millions of people. Information
and communications technology (ICT) can significantly help micro-enterprises be
more productive, improve their competitiveness and reach markets in order to grow
and create more jobs in their communities.
MEA-I programs are designed for local training and business development service
providers who already work with micro-enterprises. Our goal is to effectively reach
micro-enterprises around the world and provide them with access to technology and
ICT training to help them grow their businesses and sustain that growth over time
by partnering with local agencies.
